Nick Barber has been a member of the Kent Jaycees for nearly 3 years and is beginning his third stint serving on the board, formerly serving for one year each as the Vice President of Administration as well as Community. After completing his Bachelor’s degree in Meteorology at Perdue University in his home state of Indiana, he moved to Kent in 2015 to attend graduate school at Kent State. He loved Northeast Ohio so much that he decided to set his roots here and soon discovered a passion for serving others through the Jaycees. His favorite parts of being a member of the Jaycees are the friendships that have been cultivated with others who share this passion for serving others, as well as the opportunity to help make Kent such a wonderful and unique place to live. He currently works for Bell Tower Brewing Company in Kent as a bartender and shift leader, and in his free time, he enjoys cooking and baking, playing ports and board games, reading, trying new craft beers and cocktails, and supporting the Kent community by volunteering at events and frequenting the local restaurants, bars, and breweries.
